MED – Mediterranean Institute for Agriculture, Environment and Development

MED is a large and highly multidisciplinary R&D unit focused on the sustainability of ecosystems and food systems in the Mediterranean context. MED is therefore positioned at the core of research needs to comply with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations as well as with the Green Deal of the European Union. ICT is a multidisciplinary research unit created in 2014 with poles at University of Évora, University of Minho, and University of Porto) with the aim of studying the Earth as an integrated system. It is organized into 6 Research groups: Atmosphere, Water and Climate Sciences; Energy; Georesources and Geomaterials; Geoconservation and Geoscience Education; Environmental Monitoring and Remediation for Sustainability; Lithosphere Dynamics.
